Density model and forecasting of nickeliferous intrusions in Dukuk ore region (Median massif, Kamchatka)
Abstract
The northern part of Dukuk ore nickeliferous region of the Kamchatka median metamorphic massif was studied. The interpretation of gravity anomalies was carried out; three-dimensional density model of the Earth crust was made. Solid blocks containing the intrusions of basic composition were selected in the model. Intrusions can be ore parent magmatic systems. Hidden intrusions are determined by local maxima of Bouguer anomalies. Cover depth and form of the supposed non-eroded intrusions were determined. Areas promising for the search of copper-nickel ores were selected: in the upper reaches of the rivers Pymta, Suntuk, Left, and Right Kol’ and in the middle reaches of the rivers Nemtik and Luntos.
